SHMII-5 in Cancún, México

The 5th International Conference on Structural Health Monitoring of Intelligent Infrastructure (SHMII-5) to be held in Cancún, México will provide a unique opportunity for scientists, practitioners, and enterprises from around the world to share and discuss the latest knowledge and techniques for structural health monitoring of intelligent infrastructure. It will also serve as a significant thrust for the definitive establishment of the SHMII concept in México. Moreover, considering México’s leadership in Latin America, SHMII-5 will undoubtedly provide a unique opportunity to reach the public of some other countries in the region, such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Peru, just to mention a few. By approaching the technical societies already established in those countries, the relevance of the SHMII concept will be emphasized and further disseminated. Also, SHMII-5 will be a great occasion for presenting advances made to date on both research and implementation of the SHMII concept around the world. It is also the aim of the conference to bring together, and enhance worldwide dialogue among professionals from a broad range of disciplines. Emphasis will be given to reaching and facilitating the attendance of the interested community from Latin America.
